Announcing the arrival of our new menu
Perched on the outskirts of the town, the food served at The Delme is a far cry from the typical restaurants you’ll find down the high street.
Courtesy of the Hitchin Priory’s highly experienced Chefs and well-honed kitchen team, the restaurant’s modern and plated cooking really comes into its own with an A la carte menu, which offers authentic dishes. Diners are truly spoilt for choice with a host of notable, well-executed dishes, which are eye-catching and deliciously flavoursome.
Highlights from the starters include chicken and rabbit confit terrine, Jerusalem artichoke risotto, herb oil and seared mackerel fillet, orange and fennel salad, orange dressing.
The Delme’s exemplary list of mains includes such delicious dishes as braised lamb shanks, seared corn fed chicken with parmesan gnocchi and red mullet and tiger prawns, pepperade, pearl potatoes and saffron tomato sauce.
Amongst the contemporary home-made desserts are peppermint crème brûlée with short bread biscuits,
homemade orange and chocolate bread and butter pudding with vanilla custard and chocolate brownies with honeycomb ice cream.
An array of quality wines and other drinks are served from the bar area.
